How cool. Your interview's GREAT. More of these guys oughta be able to tell it in their own own story in their own words like this.

I admit I had higher hopes for the first CD6. It's got some good playing on it, and the instruments mesh in a way that could only come from Dukowski . . . but Lora N.'s voice kinda makes me queasy. Here's hoping they'll turn the gtrs up on the next one, at Chuck promised. (That said: it is superior to Joe Biaza's PUTTANESCA CD from 2006 - another band with a jazzy, stomach-churning female singer. That PUTTANESCA singer is fingernails-on-chalkboard irritating.)

That's an excllent read - although it's a shame you didn't ask him what he thought of Darren Cifarelli's Defence of SWA!

I take it Greg Ginn was off-limits too...

Chuck was always my fave BFer. Had the best songs and the band went downhill after he left.
You know SWA was originally just this headfuck thing Chuck invented way before the band. I think the SWA manifesto ("You are SWA or you are nothing") first appeared in an issue of that SF mag that was like a junior Slash (Damaged?)- it was a kind of fascist parody schtick...
