I admit I had higher hopes for the first CD6. It's got some good playing on it, and the instruments mesh in a way that could only come from Dukowski . . . but Lora N.'s voice kinda makes me queasy. Here's hoping they'll turn the gtrs up on the next one, at Chuck promised. (That said: it is superior to Joe Biaza's PUTTANESCA CD from 2006 - another band with a jazzy, stomach-churning female singer. That PUTTANESCA singer is fingernails-on-chalkboard irritating.)
I take it Greg Ginn was off-limits too...
You know SWA was originally just this headfuck thing Chuck invented way before the band. I think the SWA manifesto ("You are SWA or you are nothing") first appeared in an issue of that SF mag that was like a junior Slash (Damaged?)- it was a kind of fascist parody schtick...
